Missouri ( MO ) Labor Law Quick Facts: The Missouri minimum wage increases from $7.05 to $7.25 per hour on July 24 2009, reflecting an increase in the federal minimum wage. Retail or service businesses with annual gross revenue under $500,000 are exempt from the state minimum wage. The Missouri minimum wage is adjusted for inflation each year in January. Employers must keep accurate payroll records for 3 years, available for inspection by the Missouri Division of Labor Standards. Under Missouri law, employers must give 30 days notice to employees before reducing wages. Employees are entitled to request and receive a letter of dismissal from an employer who is a corporation with 7 or more employees.
