Minnesota ( MN ) Labor Law Quick Facts: Effective July 24, 2009 most Minnesota employees are entitled to the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour, which applies to companies that engage in interstate commerce or have annual revenue of $500,000 or more. For smaller employers, the Minnesota minimum wage remains at $6.15 per hour. State agencies and all companies with state contracts must use E-Verify for newly hired workers. Minnesota mini-COBRA laws require that employers with fewer than 20 employees provide continued group health insurance coverage to employees.
